I'm experimenting with colours and lettering styles for the front cover. I'd totally buy this , (but I'm biased)

Clearly I was expecting some fireworks . Not in my conscious mind ,in my conscious mind I was just hoping to get the funding for the comic book. But somewhere else ,my ego was hoping for fireworks ,for the book to just fucking explode from the get go . For choirs of heavenly angels to descend and rave about my little comic book?? This did not happen,not even close.In fact not a single angel at all. As a child i thought I saw an angel once but it turned out to be a surly duck. I did get some helpful feed back from a prospective investor/customer. No artist attached No completed pages shown and not enough concept art  No previous history of comic work I must admit  as a  complete noob to the crowdfunding scene, I did not anticipate any of this . We humans tend to learn by doing rather than sitting around talking, so I suppose I'm learn a lot this month . Less than 24 hours ot go until indie go go goes live with my comic KreeKraw and Kris:Must Be Destroyed I about as nervous as a very nervous person with a very good reason to be nervous (to paraphrase blackadder) Soon i'll find out if I'm going to be a comic writer or join the list of failed crowd funding campaigns that seem to litter the highroads of the comic book internet. Its not the amount of failed campaigns that really makes me nervous ,to honest . Its the quality . That is to say I've seen genius, brilliant comic ideas fall flat with almost no money given? Less than a month to go before  my indiegogo launch and twitter gives me a 12 hour ban. For quoting a certain Blackadder episode in reference to zoe quinn. Yes ,the infamous  GAMER GATE woman. True to type ,she has yet again been found out screwing journalists who will give her favourable publicity. Before its was several game website employees now she's moved into comics . And wouldn't you just know it boys and girls she's at it again ,so to speak. I appealed this ban despite it being over before id even check twitter again. I was left hanging for four days in the new year waiting for an email to tell me the appeal was successful or not. all the while missing chances to shill my comic on twitter. On the 5th day there was still no email but a 7 day ban ? I could still go on twitter and somehow like comments Evidently they didn't like that either coupled with the constant emails complaining about there lack of communication on the subject the petulant c

  My normal comic book blog about my efforts to get an indie book published will have to wait for another week. My long ill father has died. I dont quite know how to feel at this point. The man that raised me along with my mother is dead. They were funny ,charitable and considered good people by all who knew them. In my early childhood times were tough. My Irish parents liked to drink and were told by the ever helpful Vatican that birth control was evil so they had several kids and spent most of there money on booze .  The conservatives made a new sport of squeezing and making things even more difficult for the poor. So three redundancies in a row brought on by there economic policies had taken our family from the upper edge of the working class right down to the newly created socio-economic group  of non workers , the under class  .
