Nailing my colours to the mast part 1

I noticed it several years ago now.
The old comic book forums started changing
Slowly blighted by people who only wanted to talk about the film adaptations
and were ignorant and disrespectful of the source material.
Worse they didn't want to solve there ignorance in any way.
These invaders Showed such contempt for us
I imagined they were always just one sentence away from saying "fuck you NERDS" .

They always argued.
Just not about comics ,
comic makers
or the industry.
but about people's choice of words?
 There online behaviour and other irrelevant things.
What you meant, it's original  intention  was lost on these people .
Only the actual words you typed ,twisted up and spat out as whatever they wanted it to mean remained.

The Pod people had arrived
My favourite refrain when they got pouty was to say "welcome to the internet".

They didn't get bored and go away though.
They became user editors or moderators and began banning actual fans
 who dared to school them in all the way they were so very stupid ,
whose politics they didn't like
 and mainly because they could.

The forums ,of course ,died a death.
 The few fans that weren't banned left as it was not longer fun to talk to the thought police all day.
The pod people with no one left to bully, harass and generally abuse left too,
to find more victims of there hateful ideology.

Fast forward a couple of years ago
The new 52 having shit on DC fans from a great height,
split up all super couples and pissed in the face of continuity was failing hard.

CBR shill comic book website started publishing an endless stream of articles about
diversity in comics(not that one).
The stream of horseshit never seemed to end.
Sycophantic publicity pieces about a race/gender swapped characters being the best thing
since Jesus invented the sliced loaf??
Any questioning of there new political view was put down with yet more bans.
Daring to suggest that making new characters would be a better idea
rather than destroying old ones was viewed as racist
,or I should say CALLED racist.
They didn't obviously believe there own bullshit
but saying the word is a way for "thought nazis" to instantly silence all opposition,
"your valid points are meaningless I've used the best spell in all of hogwarts
RACIST.

So what did the comic fan do when tehy discovered no actual truth coming out of the "comic book Sites?
and no way to even voice there grievances online??
They moved to you tube...
